JBCE has released a comprehensive position paper addressing the simplified implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).The paper, published on May 12, 2025, presents practical recommendations to reduce administrative burden while maintaining the regulation's environmental objectives.
Key Recommendations Include:* Enhanced flexibility for due diligence statements covering multiple shipments from various sources* Clarified scope exclusions for synthetic rubber products and minimal natural rubber components* Alternative compliance methods for paper products where geolocation tracing is impractical* Exemptions for replacement packaging materials, wooden pallets, and separately imported informational materials

The position paper draws on real industry case studies, highlighting compliance challenges faced by machinery manufacturers and other sectors.JBCE's recommendations aim to ensure proportional implementation that balances environmental protection with business feasibility.
