JBCE's feedback during the Call for Evidence regarding the Digital Product Passport (DPP) Rules for Service Providers
13/12/2024
On 10th December 2024, JBCE and JP4EE submitted their joint feedback on the Call for Evidence regarding the Digital Product Passport (DPP) rules for service providers.
We support the idea that demonstrating and ensuring the sustainability of an entire product lifecycle through a DPP benefits both consumers and users. This position paper highlights shared concerns commonly raised by economic operators registering their DPPs and service providers supporting these registrations.
Key points
1. Support for a Mandatory Certification Scheme for DPP Service Providers
2. Call for Clear Definitions
3. Implementation Based on Minimal Requirements
4. Ensuring Information Security
5. Ensuring Database Interoperability
6. Sufficient Time for Implementation
JBCE details its feedback in its position paper which can be downloaded below.
