Member Benefits

For Japanese companies based in the EU, or providing products or services to the EU, it is vital to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in European policies and to act on them at an early stage.

JBCE draws on its presence in Brussels to disseminate a wide range of information on the European institutions’ latest priorities, including in the areas of the digitalisation, sustainability, energy, standards certification and trade policies.

JBCE advocates on behalf of Japanese businesses in Europe

JBCE acts on behalf of its members at European level, carrying out advocacy work on the issues that have the greatest impact on their business performance. JBCE’s position is based on the expertise and experience of its member companies. As such, our work takes into account the specific circumstances of Japanese companies operating in Europe. JBCE supports Japanese companies on a horizontal basis, adopting a cross-sectoral approach rather than focusing on a single sector.

JBCE opens new spheres of influence for its members

Since its establishment in 1999, JBCE has established itself as a recognised partner of European and Japanese institutions. The strong network we have built with relevant stakeholders provides our members with a direct link to decision-makers and enables them to present their views on various EU policies with a single, unified voice.

JBCE connects Japanese companies operating in Europe

JBCE members have access to a vast network of colleagues facing similar challenges and opportunities. Through our committees and external events, JBCE provides a platform for its members to exchange views with one another. These networking opportunities give members a more comprehensive understanding of European Union policy and its impact on their activities.

JBCE provides high-quality intelligence and monitoring services

JBCE produces and publishes exclusive reports for its members on current political developments and their implications. This enables its members to gain an in-depth forward-looking perspective and to adapt accordingly to future developments.
