JBCE Holds Annual Summer Party

On 18 June 2026, JBCE brought together members, friends and partners for its Annual Summer Party, celebrating the start of summer in Brussels.

Even the usually unpredictable Belgian weather was on our side: warm temperatures and sunshine accompanied us throughout the evening, with the rain kindly waiting until almost the very end!

Our summer party was a wonderful reminder that professional relationships are not only built in the office, but also strengthened through informal moments, meaningful conversations and shared experiences, especially over delicious Japanese food!

A special thank you to H.E. Ambassador Kazutoshi Aikawa for his speech, and to Aleksandra Kordecka, Expert in the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné, for her insightful keynote speech on the IAA and the EU-Japan relationship. We would also like to thank JBCE’s former President, Mikihito Saito, for his remarks last night and for his collaboration over the past two years, and we extend a warm welcome to the new President of JBCE, George Gillespie.

And a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making the evening such a memorable one, filled with fun, laughter and good cheer!

Here’s to a wonderful summer ahead!
